Triphile Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: September 7, 2026

These Terms & Conditions (”Terms”) govern your use of Triphile’s website, forms, WhatsApp community, manual travel-companion matching service and, when available, the Triphile app.

By using Triphile, you agree to these Terms.

1. WHAT TRIPHILE IS

Triphile is building a platform that helps people find compatible travel companions for real trips.

During the current pre-launch phase, Triphile operates through:

• Its website
• Travel forms
• Manually created travel profiles
• Manual compatibility review
• WhatsApp community
• Trip-specific WhatsApp groups

The Triphile app is currently being developed.

2. ELIGIBILITY

Triphile is intended for people aged 18 and above.

During the current pre-launch WhatsApp community and manual matching phase only, Triphile may make limited exceptions for someone around 17 where appropriate parent or guardian consent has been obtained.

This exception does not apply to the Triphile app or future in-app services.

The app is intended to be 18+.

We may refuse or terminate participation where age or required parental consent cannot reasonably be established.

3. PROVIDING ACCURATE INFORMATION

You agree to provide accurate information when using Triphile.

This includes information about:

• Your age
• Identity
• City
• Travel plans
• Dates
• Budget
• Interests
• Travel style
• Travel experience
• Social or professional profiles
• Other information relevant to your participation

You must not intentionally provide misleading information.

4. CURRENT MANUAL MATCHING PROCESS

The current Triphile process is:

Submit your travel details → Triphile creates your profile → we review potentially compatible travellers → we contact relevant people → if everyone agrees, we create a trip-specific WhatsApp group → travellers plan together.

The current process is manually operated.

It is temporary and will eventually be replaced or supplemented by the Triphile app.

5. COMPATIBILITY

Tripihle may consider factors including:

• Destination
• Dates
• Budget
• Interests
• Travel style
• Pace
• Previous travel experience
• Trip expectations
• Other preferences

Our goal is to introduce people who may be suitable for the same trip.

We do not guarantee compatibility.

A successful introduction does not mean that Triphile guarantees another person’s personality, intentions, behaviour, identity or safety.

6. INTRODUCTIONS

Before creating a trip-specific group, Triphile may contact potential travellers to determine whether they are interested in connecting.

You can decline an introduction.

If both sides agree, Triphile may create a trip-specific WhatsApp group.

Once connected, travellers are responsible for their own communication and decisions.

7. TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Triphile is not:

• A travel agency
• A tour operator
• An airline
• A hotel
• A transportation provider
• A travel insurer
• An emergency-response provider

Travellers are responsible for their own:

• Flights
• Accommodation
• Transportation
• Bookings
• Travel documents
• Insurance
• Expenses
• Cancellations
• Visa requirements
• Travel decisions

8. SAFETY

Triphile takes trust and safety seriously.

Our current pre-launch process may include reviewing voluntarily provided social or professional profiles and speaking with potential travellers before making introductions.

However, these steps cannot guarantee that another person is safe, genuine or trustworthy.

You are responsible for making your own decisions before travelling with another person.

For the future app, Triphile intends to provide additional safety features, including a simple SOS feature.

9. WHATSAPP

The current Triphile community uses WhatsApp.

Your use of WhatsApp is subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and policies.

Triphile does not control:

• WhatsApp’s availability
• WhatsApp’s privacy practices
• WhatsApp’s technical functionality
• Information visible to members
• WhatsApp’s independent moderation

10. COMMUNITY CONDUCT

You must follow the Triphile Community Guidelines.

You must not:

• Harass another member
• Threaten another member
• Discriminate against others
• Engage in hate speech
• Sexually harass or pressure someone
• Misrepresent your identity
• Scam or defraud others
• Spam members
• Send unwanted promotional messages
• Share private information without permission
• Collect member information for unrelated purposes
• Promote illegal activity
• Use Triphile primarily as a dating or sexual-solicitation platform

11. NO DATING PURPOSE

Triphile is a travel companion platform, not a dating service.

Friendships and relationships may naturally develop between people who travel together.

However, using Triphile primarily to find romantic or sexual partners is not permitted.

12. USER RESPONSIBILITY

You are responsible for your own decisions.

We recommend that travellers:

• Meet new people in public places
• Tell someone they trust about their plans
• Protect their personal information
• Independently verify important travel information
• Avoid sending money to strangers
• Purchase appropriate travel insurance
• Follow local laws
• Make independent decisions about bookings and activities

13. OPTIONAL ₹299 SUPPORT

The current community does not require payment.

Tripihle may offer an optional ₹299/month contribution to selected community members who want to support our work and receive additional assistance such as manual matching or itinerary planning.

This is not currently a mandatory subscription or community paywall.

Any formal paid service will have separate payment terms presented before payment.

14. USER CONTENT

The current Triphile community does not allow members to directly post their own travel-companion requests.

If you want to find companions, you should submit the Triphile form.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, photographs, testimonials or other content to Triphile, you confirm that you have the right to provide it.

You retain ownership of content you own, subject to any permissions separately granted to Triphile.

15. SUSPENSION OR REMOVAL

We may restrict, suspend or remove your participation if we reasonably believe that you:

• Violate these Terms
• Violate Community Guidelines
• Provide intentionally false information
• Harass another member
• Create a safety concern
• Scam or defraud someone
• Misuse personal information
• Use the community for prohibited purposes

We may remove you from the WhatsApp community or an individual trip group where appropriate.

16. NO GUARANTEE OF SERVICE

Because Triphile is currently in pre-launch development, we do not guarantee:

• That you will receive an introduction
• That a compatible traveller will be available
• That a trip will form
• That a traveller will attend
• That another traveller will remain available
• That the website or community will always be available
• That a future feature will launch or remain available

17. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Triphile may depend on third-party services such as WhatsApp, analytics platforms, email providers, hosting providers and other technology services.

We are not responsible for failures or actions of independent third-party services.

18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Triphile is not responsible for losses arising from:

• Another traveller’s conduct
• A traveller cancelling
• A traveller failing to attend
• Travel disruptions
• Travel bookings
• Injuries or incidents during travel
• Information voluntarily shared between travellers
• WhatsApp or other third-party failures
• Events outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

19. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims or losses arising from your unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, violation of another person’s rights or misuse of Triphile.

20. CHANGES

We may update these Terms as Triphile evolves.

Material changes may be communicated through the website, email, WhatsApp community or other appropriate channels.

21. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in India, subject to applicable law.

Tripihle is currently pre-incorporation. Legal entity and jurisdiction details will be updated when applicable.
